New Cole Vs. Old Cole and Old Cole pwns!!!!!

My problem with the new Cole is that I can't see why or how he would change like that, and it's clear he has changed quite a bit in the trailer. Many people say they like the new Cole because the old Cole was some grumpy generic villain type. And I ask, in what way?! He was hardly like that. The old Cole WASN'T just some grumpy badass. In the beginning of the game, he and Zeke were joking about pissing on a police man, he truly loved Trish, and didn't get assholeish before after the entire city shunned him, and even then it wasn't exactly unreasonably so.

And to sum up all the shit that has happened to him. He was the reason thousands of people died, even if it was for the greater good, he has been played mind games on by almost everyone and has no clue who to trust but himself, he was betrayed by his best friend, the love of his life was murdered and died in his arms, and then he discovers it was actually his future self who did it so that he could defeat some beast. Yes, he should become a fashionista, pretty-boy that is cheerful and witty. Totally! (Please note sarcasm)

Not to mention, InFamous 1 WAS Cole. They reused the buildings constantly in the city, the animation was so-so, the side missions were boring, and the plot in itself isn't exactly new. Yet, the game is one of the best I have ever played, and that was due to Cole. You cared for him, you cared about his friends, you could connect to him in that, without his superpowers, he was just a man who had disappointed his parents and probably felt like a failure. The fear or failing and disappointing the people you love are things most people feel. It made Cole real, like few other game characters I've had the honor of “meeting”.

It was also clear that Cole had lived a harsh life, even before the blast, and you could see that on him. His face was worn and made him look older than he was. He wore unfashionable clothes, lived on a freaking rooftop (though that might have been sucker punch being lazy), had a bad job and it was hinted that he had gotten in trouble with the police several times. Would the Cole we know really care about how he looked enough to wear jewelry? “Realistically”, that guy would only wear whatever looked clean enough on the floor unless his girlfriend dressed him. Oh yes, I can totally picture Trish picking out his clothes for him and him desperately trying to hide that from his buds.

Then there is the voice change... He sounds like a freaking girl! (Granted, everyone sounds like a girl compared to his old voice). I have a serious voice fetish, and that voice made me shiver in the really good way, but this one? One big MEH!

And am I the only who wonders what happened to his hair color? I mean, he was practically bald, but no matter how I look at it, he's blonde, isn't it?
